When I first became a believer in God, I didn’t know what I was getting myself into. I knew there was going to be challenges, but when they finally did come into my path, I had to learn to have faith. Now what does having faith look like?
It means trusting in what I cannot see.
This is what I would like to talk about in my blogs. How I, Maria Ramirez, have gotten and and am still getting through my struggles in life. Everyone calls me religious, I mean I don’t mind, but I think everyone has it twisted. I’m NOT religious. When I’m told that I am religious, the first thing that pops into my head is the Pharisees in the bible. Those people in the bible treasured money much more than God. They made church more like a store than a place to receive edification.
I am not religious.
Religious people are the people that go to church every Sunday and say they are good because the attend it. Religious people are the people that tell other people to not smoke, drink, party and they partake in the same activities. Religious people like to make themselves look better than others, when in reality it the only one that we should be making look better is God.
So now that this is clear, let me explain what living 116 is.
Living 116 is all about living for God.
Romans 1:16 says, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God that brings salvation to everyone who believes: first to the Jew, then to the Gentile.”
My goal here isn’t to shove the bible down your throat, but give you an inside look into my life and how I’ve overcome the obstacles I’ve dealt with, by having God at my side.
