The Gentlemen Review

Guy Ritchie’s ‘Gentlemen’ Guy Stuart Ritchie, the famous director known for most of his British “gangster” and crime films, gives the audience yet another film to ‘Snatch’ and ‘Lock’ in their heads.

unthoughtfully ‘The Gentlemen’ didn’t turn out to be your typical mannered gentlemen at all, seeing their language was highly inappropriate and vulgar. Aside from their language, the plot is very clever and well thought out from start to finish. This film will keep the viewer on the edge of their seat waiting to see the outcome of this risky life style.

The movie centers in on the life of ruthless, but smart Mickey Pearson played by Matthew McConaughey. It’s a doggy-dog world out there and it’s hard for Mickey to trust anyone other than his right hand man Raymond played by Charlie Hunman. With Mickey disguising himself in the higher ups, he has to keep his weed production under the radar to sustain his position. Although, his rep is persistently challenged by an obnoxious, violent, young mind named Dry Eye (Henry Golding) and his crew.

Everyone is after the King of the Jungle, but Mickey’s stone cold attitude can never be broken down. With being the only key to his heart, his wife Rosalind Pearson played by Michelle Dockery, makes a living running her own business and watching her own back.

This movie sets off many emotions making the audience feel for each of these interesting gentlemen in different ways. Guy Ritchie definitely succeeded with this one.
