The R&B singer known as The Weeknd has been performing since the year 2012. It wasn’t until the following year that his name began to sound familiar around the United States.
The artist is noticed for his music of love, drug and passion. Other than that, his features with the famous artist Drake made him more popular throughout the years. The mesmerizing artist has a way of putting his pain into his music.
When Tesfaye was in his teenage years, he dropped out of high school and moved out into a one bedroom apartment in Toronto, Canada. Shortly after, he began to encounter abuse towards the drug use. “When there was nothing else but my music, drugs were my help of cancer.
Before the fame even appeared, The Weeknd had a dark past that he couldn’t encounter.
He was raised by his mother after his father left when he was a child. He had no other siblings.
Besides the passion of much, the one source he had to escape the torment was the death will of drugs.
“Songs on my first recorded album has mumbles of myself seven minutes long, any thoughts that came out were under the influence at the time,” said Tesfaye. His latest confession about drug use is downright troubling and it’s sending a poor message to his many number one fans.
Around the year 2015, The Weeknd encountered a run in with the law. The consequences were not that severe because he could easily be “vanished” from a lot of substandard things that could have happened.
The Weeknd’s admission to using drugs as a tool to write his music is reflected in his most recent albums, as well.
He said, “I’ll be completely honest with you. The past couple of albums, I do get back to that. Even on this new album. You have writer’s block. And sometimes you’re like, I can’t do this sober.”
