HISD teams fall out first round

As many of you know, the first week of playoffs started this Thursday(11/17), and so far it is not looking so good for teams in the Houston Independent School District. Everybody starts 0-0 when the post season starts, so no one cares if you were 8-0 or 3-5 in the district. Winners are made on the grind iron. Post Season football is on a new level. So far five teams have played from HISD and all five teams’ season have ended… The teams that have fallen are Waltrip, Kashmere, Sterling, Madison, and Yates.

Waltrip looked like they were coming back, but Texas City’s defense did not give up at all and gave heart till the final whistle. Final Score 24-14
Yates were only down by 7 at the Half, but there were a few questionable calls from the officials. Second half came through and Bay city look like a new team. Final Score 42-14.
Kashmere, Sterling. and Madison had the worst ones of all. These three teams faced state ranked teams. Kashmere got destroyed by El Campo. Final Score 53-6. Sterling had the same story as the were shutout by Marshall. Final Score 49-0. Madison had no chance against the number 8 team in the state. Final score 49-6.
