Puerto Rico has recently been struck with a power outage across the island’s capital, San Juan.
Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority official Fernando Padilla said a main north-south transmission line failing was the cause of the outage.
San Juan has been without power since 11:30 a.m. (9:30 a.m. CT), but PREPA is working to repair the damages from the incident.
Other areas in Puerto Rico have not had electricity since the region was devastated by Hurricane Maria.
