Tip #3: Scalp moisture!
Moisture isn’t just important for your strands. It’s important for your scalp, too! Having a dry, itchy, or flaky scalp is a no-no. If you suffer from an itchy scalp, try switching up your shampoo. Maybe a shampoo with tea tree oil would work best for you.
If you can’t find a cleanser with tea tree that you like or you’re just really in love with the one you use now, try adding a few drops of tea tree oil to your current shampoo. Or just apply tea tree oil directly to your scalp after you wash your hair. Tea tree kills bacteria and fungus, gets rid of dandruff, and calms dry, flaky skin.
Another way to keep your scalp from dryness is to stop using chemicals on your hair. Chemicals are not only harsh and damaging for your hair, but they can be just as harmful to your scalp. Instead of using products with chemicals, try finding shampoo, conditioner, and styling products that contain all-natural ingredients. Or, make your own. Making your own products could be very beneficial for your hair and scalp. Give “DIY” products a try!
