The celebration of Mardi Gras has started

Mardi Gras is approaching.

The holiday of Mardi Gras is celebrated in Southern Louisiana. Celebrations are held for about two weeks before and through Shrove Tuesday, the day before Ash Wednesday.

In many areas, the term “Mardi Gras” has come to mean the whole period of activity related to the celebratory events, beyond just the single day. In some American cities, it is now called “Mardi Gras Day.
