The Chicago Cubs claimed victory in the MLB World Series against the Cleveland Indians with a score of eight to seven!
The World Series championship was claimed by the Chicago Cubs after 108 years since their last victory in 1908.
The game was packed with tension and the winner of the World Series was virtually unpredictable by the final innings.
Going into the eighth inning the Cubs held a six-three lead, however with a double home run by the Indians tied the game by the ninth inning. In an almost scenic display, the rain began to pour over the arena and the tenth inning was delayed due to the downpour.
But the Cubs quickly retaliated back and scored two runs in the tenth inning giving them the vital push to claim victory over Cleveland. This was the Cubs’ third time participating in the World Series in the past 113 years the tournament has been around, and player and spectator alike all jumped for joy over the success of the Chicago Cubs.
