Former Saints’ player, Will Smith, was killed April 9th by Cardell Hayes. Hayes originally claimed it was self defense but the lawyer representing Smith proposes another side of the incident.
Will Smith and his wife Raquel were driving when Hayes’ car stopped in front of theirs. After Smith saw no damages he drove away but later Hayes crashed into the back of the Smith car. The Smiths stepped out of the vehicle and Hayes angrily shot Raquel in her legs and killed Will. Raquel is supposed to recover from her leg injury.
Smith didn’t attempt to bare arms against Hayes but did posses a gun in his car, which he was licensed for.
The overall decision hasn’t been made by the jury and the judge.
